Wellness coaching is a proven effective approach in changing lifestyle behaviors. Greg is a certified Wellness Coach, certified personal trainer and a certified yoga instructor. Greg uses his life’s work and experience, coupled with proven coaching strategies to help guide others to a place of improved wellbeing. Greg helps his clients cast a wellness vision and then helps map out steps toward growing that vision into a reality. As a coach, Greg, listens, encourages, gives feedback and occasionally challenges his clients to keep moving toward their desired vision.
What is Wellness Coaching?
Wellness coaching is a process of exploring where one is their own wellness journey and then exploring where they would ultimately like to go. The coach simply acts as a listener and a guide to help the client identify where they are, where they would ultimately like to be and to help establish a pathway to get there.
In the first stages of wellness coaching there is time spent in getting to know the client. The next phase is spent in helping the client cast a wellness vision and then together, the client and the coach establish a timeline toward the established vision.
Action steps are then established and the coach and client journey together toward this end. Sessions may be as short as 30 minutes and as long as an hour. The purpose of the sessions is to help the client navigate their wellness plan as effectively and as smoothly as possible while recognizing the truth that life happens along the way.
Sessions may be scheduled as often as weekly or as infrequently as bi-weekly with the ultimate goal of the client establishing a higher and higher degree of self reliance along their journey with the possible occasional check-ins with the coach.
